Beautiful, traditional Irish music tea-light candle holders that smell great too!
Watch them come to life as the quaver dances to the flicker of the candle.
Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil into the dimple in the head for a wonderfully subtle, aromatherapy experience.
Each essential oil burner is individually hand-made in Ireland, so every musician is unique.

Size & colour

As they are all individually hand-made, small variations in size and colour will occur, but we generally aim for the following:

  • 150mm high and 100mm wide at the widest.
  • Matt black glaze inside and on the bottom-half outside. This creates a lovely soft, warm light inside the candle holder and enhances the shape of the light projected out the back.
  • The head and instruments are a speckled black and white, which accentuates the features of each character.
  • The tin whistle and flute players use copper for the instruments.
  • The hollowed dimple in the head is for a few drops of essential oil and is ample for home use, creating a subtle aroma in any room. It is not made for large quantities.  A quick wipe with kitchen towel is all it takes to clean.

Where can I buy them?

To purchase online, simply tell us which character you would like and we will add it to our build list.

We are constantly replenishing stock, but if we don't currently have a specific character in stock, we will let you know and it can be added to the top of the list in the next batch we make.

What do they cost?

  • Trad musicians: €50 each

What's the pottery order process?

  • We do not ask for payment when you email in your order.
  • The total price, including shipping is confirmed by email.
  • When we are ready to build your order, we will confirm that you still wish to proceed.
  • When we are ready to ship your order, we will contact you for payment.

How long does it take to receive a specific order?

This depends on the current waiting list, but as ball-park indication, expect 4-6 weeks. Like all bespoke pieces of art, hand-made pottery takes time to turn around. Each piece is fired twice after it is built and in order to keep costs down, we need to fill the kiln each time with individually built pieces.

If outside of this ball-park, we will let you know when we receive your email.
